Booking & Payments

Currency & Payment Processing
All prices are listed in Dollars ($). Payments are securely processed via Stripe using Bookinglayer integrated with our WordPress website. Stripe allows for major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and installment plans (via Klarna, when available).

Pre-Sale Access & Private Listings
Certain registration packages are available exclusively to pre-approved community members. These packages are accessible via a password-protected area of the site.

Installment Payments via Klarna
When available, Klarna offers installment payments during checkout. This option is managed entirely through Klarna and subject to their terms and eligibility requirements.

Refunds & Cancellations
Camp registration is non-refundable unless you cancel before April 15th or if otherwise stated in your specific package agreement. Exceptions may be made in cases of documented medical emergency or travel restrictions, at the discretion of the Root&Rise team.

Waivers & Registration Forms

All participants must complete and submit:

• A registration form detailing contact information, emergency contacts, medical conditions, and activity preferences
• A signed waiver confirming personal responsibility, assumption of risk, and agreement to camp rules

Code of Conduct

Root&Rise is committed to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and respectful community.

We do not tolerate any behavior that is violent, harassing, or discriminatory, including but not limited to:

• Sexism, racism, homophobia, biphobia, interphobia, transphobia

• Antisemitism, Islamophobia, fascism, ageism, ableism

• Any other intersectional form of discrimination

All participants are expected to:

• Treat all individuals with kindness, consent, and respect

• Respect personal space, privacy, and property

• Follow all staff instructions related to safety, scheduling, and facilities

Violation of this code may result in removal without refund.

Safety & Security

• Pool use is at your own risk 
• No diving, running, or rough play near water
• Fires are permitted only in designated areas with staff supervision
• No unauthorized guests are allowed on the property
• Quiet hours: 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Lockers are available, but Root&Rise is not responsible for lost or stolen items

Medical & Emergency Policy

• A first aid kit and light medical supplies are available on site
• Staff will coordinate with local emergency services if needed
• Campers must disclose all relevant medical conditions or allergies in advance
• Emergency contacts will be notified in case of incident

Environmental Stewardship

Please help us protect the French countryside:

• • Leave no trace: dispose of all trash properly
  • Don’t disturb plants, animals, or natural habitats
  • Respect the local cows (seriously!)
  • Use electricity and water mindfully
  • Fires allowed only in designated fire pits

Communication & Mailing Lists

You may opt into our mailing list during registration. We use Mailchimp for email communication. You may unsubscribe at any time.

Photography & Media Release

By attending Root&Rise, you grant permission for photographs or video taken during the retreat to be used for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to appear in any media, please inform a staff member during check-in.

Privacy Policy

We collect only the information needed to process registration, communicate with you, and ensure your safety during camp. Your data is never sold or shared beyond our service providers (e.g., Stripe, Mailchimp, and Bookinglayer).

Acceptance of Terms

By completing your registration and payment, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to all terms, policies, and codes of conduct listed on this page.

Trademark

Root&Rise® is a federally registered trademark. All names, logos, designs, and brand elements associated with Root&Rise® may not be used without prior written permission.
